Extended Deadline for 2013 AbelCine Documentary Grant
Monday, 19 August 2013
The deadline to submit your entry to the 2013 AbelCine Documentary Grant has been extended to August 27! You can enter by shooting a short video pitch and uploading it to Vimeo for the chance to win one of three equipment grants worth a combined total of $100,000.
Plus, as a special additional prize, winners will receive “Unlimited DPX” access to Endcrawl, the cloud-based software that simplifies the process of creating scrolling credits for your film. With the Unlimited DPX tier, winners are entitled to unlimited 2K or HD DPX renders and unlimited 1K H.264 renders for their documentaries. Make sure to check out the official website for more information and a look at the productions that have successfully used the software, including Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
After all submissions are in, 10 finalists will be determined based on votes from the Vimeo community. Then a panel of judges comprised of AbelCine & industry experts, as well as special guest filmmakers Mark Benjamin, Ellen Kuras, ASC, and Peter Schnall
, will choose three winners who will each receive an equipment grant to be used towards the Canon C300 package & lenses of their choice.
